A+ CompTIA Certifications

CompTIA currently offers the A+ certification for entry-level technicians, the Certified Document Imaging Architech (CDIA) for individuals involved in (Mastery-level) document imaging, and Network+, CompTIA's newest industry-wide certification exam which deals with networking technologies, and which launched on April 30, 1999. i-Net+, an exam dealing with Internet, Extranet and Intranet technologies launched January 21, 2000.

The exams for A+, Network+, CDIA, and i-Net+, identify the necessary skills for an individual to perform their job competently and most important, successfully.


 
A+ Certification
A+ Certification is a testing program sponsored by CompTIA that certifies the competency of entry-level (6 months experience) service technicians in the computer industry. Anyone who wants an internationally recognized credential as a competent entry-level computer service professional can take the A+ examination.

Network+ Certification
Earning the Network+ certification means that the candidate possesses the knowledge needed to configure and install the TCP/IP client. This exam covers a wide range of vendor and product neutral networking technologies that can also serve as a prerequisite for vendor - specific IT certifications.

CDIA - Certified Document Imaging Architech Certification
CompTIA's CDIA certification is a nationally recognized credential acknowledging competency and professionalism in the document imaging industry. CDIA candidates possess critical knowledge of all major areas and technologies used to plan, design and specify an imaging system.

iNET+ Certification
The i-Net+ certification program is designed specifically for any individual interested in demonstrating baseline technical knowledge that would allow him or her to pursue a variety of Internet-related careers. The certification program validates entry-level knowledge of Internet technology. Certification not only helps individuals enter into the Internet industry, but also helps managers determine a prospective employee’s knowledge and skill level. The exam is designed to test Internet technical professionals who are hands-on specialists responsible for implementing and maintaining Internet, Intranet and Extranet infrastructure and services as well as development of related applications.
